Formed in the year 2013, National Storage Affiliates (NSA) is a self-administered, self-managed real estate investment trust (REIT). It facilitates ownership, acquisition, and operation of self-storage facilities and provides long-term and short-term storage options to individuals, families as well as businesses. NSA operates more than 1117 self-storage properties around 42 states across the USA. 

Struggles and Pains

As NSA acquired and developed new self-storage properties expanding its business and geographical presence, it faced its own set of difficulties. With over 1200 employees working around different locations and functions, streamlining HR and IT operations was naturally necessary. NSA was using a manual process for managing employee data and provisions of its employees between its HRIS Paycom and Hybrid AD( (Active Directory). This not only led to its Sysadmins spending costly work hours on regular updates but also increased the risk of compliance and security issues.
