Leading investment management firm uses Hire2Retire to automate employee lifecycle management and protect private client data.
Since its foundation in 2003, Cercano Management has established itself as a leading investment management firm. Based in Bellevue, Washington, Cercano specializes in high-value financial deals for individuals, family foundations, and charitable organizations. The company was originally founded to manage Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen’s investments and has been a trusted advisory group across the entire corporate development spectrum ever since.
With over 100 employees spread across three locations in the United States and one more location in Singapore, Cercano management had been manually creating, updating, and provisioning employee profiles in Azure AD. However, the manual burden on Sysadmins to keep the employee lifecycle management flow operating smoothly hindered the company’s operations. New hires faced delays in being provisioned with the correct system access, and a messy GAL led to confusion about the organization structure. But the biggest impact of the manual process for Cercano Management was that terminated employees often retained system access, opening Cercano’s highly confidential client data. Cercano needed a solution that could help automate their employee lifecycle management process without compromising on data security, and that search led them to Hire2Retire by RoboMQ.
Hire2Retire has completely automated the employee lifecycle management process for Cercano, synchronizing employee profiles between BambooHR and Azure AD and auto-provisioning profiles with system access on a “need-to-know” basis. At the same time, Hire2Retire automatically revokes access from employee profiles upon termination and provides SOC-2-certified data security to Cercano management, keeping Cercano’s client data safe and secure. Ultimately, Hire2Retire has become the latest sound financial investment Cercano Management has made.
