With Penny Lane Centers’ decision to switch its HR system to ADP, it became clear that there is a need for a robust and no-code ADP to AD integration solution which its HR team could use independently.
It all began with a dream, which a feminist and socio-political activist, Ivelise Markovits, saw when she was working in Los Angeles County Probation Department. As a placement officer, she was assigned the responsibility of providing residential treatment facilities to the court’s female wards. However, it did not take much time for her to realize that the system was broken and that she needed to create a safe space where justice and equality could prevail for all. Making her vision a reality, in 1969, she created Penny Lane Centers. A non-profit organization, Penny Lane Centers empowers thousands of children, youth, and families every month. It has a continuum of programs focused on affordable housing, family preservation, mental health, LGBTQ+ empowerment, and other sensitive concerns.
Started as a group home, Penny Lane Centers is now a multi-service organization with over 500 employees spread throughout Los Angeles County. While its support staff and social service providers know the drill and have been promoting care and empowerment for over 5 decades now, it was its HR team that was struggling to manage its business operations. A proper automated employee lifecycle management and role-based access control system was missing, and its HR & IT team were doing manual updates. This was leading to inefficiencies and delay in its operations and even had the potential to compromise the productivity of its employees. With its decision to switch its HR system to ADP, it became clear that there is a need for a robust and no-code ADP to AD integration solution which its HR team could use independently. Keeping these challenges in mind, Penny Lane Centers reached out to RoboMQ.
With an objective to streamline Penny Lane’s employee lifecycle updates and automate the process of creating distribution lists, security groups, and rule-based assignments of OUs, RoboMQ implemented Hire2Retire. As an ADP to Hybrid AD integration solution, Hire2Retire makes sure that the GAL (Global Address List) of Penny Lane is always updated and that there is a proper role-based access control system in the organization. Thanks to Hire2Retire, Penny Lane now can not only cater to its privacy and data security needs by ensuring that its terminated employees do not walk away with privileged access, but also get up to 90% cost-savings in managing its employee lifecycle changes.
