Situation

Every year, millions of patients in the United States undergo surgery, but many of them are burdened by inflated costs and a lack of access to quality surgical care. That is where AP Health (Advanced Practice Surgical Partners) comes in. Founded in 2014 with the mission to revolutionize surgical care in hospitals and surgery centers, AP Health is a surgeon-centric outsourcing provider that injects quality and cost savings into hospital surgical care.

As an employee-owned company, each member of the AP Health team has equity in the company through their stock incentive plan, which fosters a culture of ownership, innovation, and excellence. The company employs a range of practitioners, including Physicians (MD or DO), Physician Assistants (PA), Nurse Practitioners (NP), Certified Surgical Assistants (CSA), and Registered Nurse First Assistants (RNFA), who work together to provide seamless perioperative care to patients.

Struggles and Pains

While the expertise of this diverse team enabled AP Health to offer comprehensive surgical care for every unique need of each patient, the structure made it difficult for the HR and IT departments to manage the entire workforce efficiently. The company faced various challenges in managing its employee lifecycle management and identity provisioning processes, having to create and update security groups, map office contacts, allocate software licenses, update stock option plans, maintain group membership, and update roles between ADP and Active Directory (AD) manually.

With a growing workforce and increasing demand for its services, AP Health needed a better solution to streamline its processes and save valuable time and resources. It needed to find ways to offer greater access to surgical care at reduced costs while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.

Resolution

AP Health’s search for a one-stop solution for all its challenges ended when it found RoboMQ’s leading Prepackaged Integration Product (PIP) Hire2Retire. With Hire2Retire as an ADP to AD integration solution, AP Health was able to streamline its employee data management process, reducing the time and resources required to keep employee profiles updated and accurate between systems. The no-code data integration between ADP and Active Directory (AD) enabled AP Health to automatically sync employee data between the two platforms upon every employee lifecycle event update, such as onboarding or termination. This automation helped to ensure that new hires were quickly onboarded and terminated employees no longer had access to company resources, reducing the risk of a data breach. Through end-to-end automation in the entire employee lifecycle management, AP Health could

Simplify the process of creating and updating security groups.

Easily manage contact mapping and software licensing, ensuring compliance with company policies and reducing costs.

Streamline stock option plan updates, ensuring all employees can access the latest information.

Maintain group membership and role updates with ease, reducing the risk of errors and improving efficiency.
