Situation

In a world where the technology landscape is changing every day, education is no longer confined to the four walls of a traditional classroom. Educational institutions like Academic Partnerships have been bypassing the one-size-fits-all approach, nurturing individual needs, and helping universities unlock new knowledge doors. Founded in the year 2007 under the leadership of Randy Best, Academic Partnerships (AP) is known to serve top Universities and colleges, helping them with new technologies, marketing, and student support services. With a vision to make high-quality, affordable, and industry-specific education available to every student, it collaborates with universities to offer quality education in accessible ways. Its integrated online program management model, the AP HigherEdge®, is focused on maximizing the online growth of its partners while fulfilling their commitment to student success.

Struggles and Pains

While the partnership with AP has always brought tremendous value and expertise to the table for universities, there was a time when AP itself needed support to manage its integration needs. The model company was using for managing the lifecycle events like onboarding, offboarding, and role changes was manual. Hence, its Sysadmins had to feed every update into its Active Directory (AD) in a time-consuming way. There was no automated process for role-based access control and resource provisioning. As a result, some terminated employees still had access to the sensitive data, while new hires were waiting for access days after onboarding, creating compliance risks and hampering productivity across organization.

Academic Partnerships realized that, in the long run, it could affect not only the security, productivity, and efficiency of the organization but also the experience of its clients. It started searching for a solution that can automate the synchronization between its HR system, which is ADP and Hybrid AD (Active Directory).

Resolution

After exploring several solutions in the iPaaS market, Academic Partnerships came across RoboMQ, a pioneer in API, application, and data integration solution providers. RoboMQ implemented its leading Pre-packaged integration solution Hire2Retire for AP to automate its employee lifecycle management and resource provisioning from HR to IT.
