Established in 2009, CleanSlate Centers now operates in more than 70 locations. Its effective programs meet patients where they are, supported by a team of physicians, care coordinators, and other healthcare providers.
Recently, CleanSlate started using Hire2Retire for workforce lifecycle management, helping its IT and HR teams automate employee provisioning and deprovisioning and maintain employee records.
While they were confident in their mission, CleanSlate faced many challenges in managing its diverse workforce. Because of ongoing turnover in the healthcare industry, a large organization like CleanSlate must efficiently handle hiring and rehiring.
With locations across multiple areas, there’s also a need to meet increasing patient demand. Managing this manually was too time-consuming for its IT team, and it was hard to keep employee records updated.
This caused delays in onboarding that affected the patient-to-staff ratio. CleanSlate began searching for solutions that could automate this process, classify employees by role, and manage both remote and on-site staff.
That was when CleanSlate’s HR and IT teams began searching for solutions to manage their workforce and streamline employee identities. They use Paycom with a Hybrid AD setup for their HR system.  Â
Manual onboarding, offboarding, access control, and group memberships were inefficient and costly. While the team looked for a solution, they even considered creating an in-house system, but found it to be time-consuming and expensive. That’s when they discovered Hire2Retire, which met all their requirements. Â

With Hire2Retire, CleanSlate Centers can now better focus on its mission, as it is relieved from the burden of manually managing employee identities. In addition, its IT team experienced a significant drop in IT tickets related to access approvals, onboarding new employees, and similar issues.Â
Remote workers enjoy a seamless onboarding process using Hire2Retire’s communication hub, which shares all necessary information like onboarding guides and employee handbooks and notifies their managers. This makes the onboarding process smarter and reduces the back-and-forth between teams.Â
CleanSlate has also successfully accomplished its goal of streamlining group memberships based on clinic location and establishing rules that better control access to applications according to different roles. For example, a doctor and a caregiver would be automatically given different levels of system access. Â
Currently, our team is assisting CleanSlate’s IT Implementation Specialist, Christopher Hinckley, in executing and defining these group membership rules to attain automatic access provisioning.
