DMCL is a leading Canadian full-service accounting firm with a global reach, founded in 1984 by Bob Matheson, who started as a sole practitioner. Over time, it grew through mergers and partnerships with Matheson Donaldson and Robson Dale Carr-Hilton, eventually becoming Dale Matheson Carr-Hilton.

Since then, DMCL has experienced exponential growth, expanding its services and opening offices in multiple locations across Canada. They have gained a reputation for providing accounting, advisory, and tax services tailored to the needs of organizations and individuals. While maintaining steady growth, they have retained the personal touch of a mid-sized firm.

However, this growth also presented certain hurdles with the growing number of employees and teams. There was a need to manage employee data effectively, avoiding data silos and delays, and errors in the hiring process.  

Implementing the Data Integration

In 2021, James Tio, their IT systems Manager, and Ayoade Adewum, their IT system administrator, sought an integration solution for BambooHR to AD. They stumbled upon a Hire2Retire demo on YouTube and were impressed by its potential. Since then, they have been using RoboMQ’s Hire2Retire services. 

DMCL faced the challenge of needing a data integration platform that could support their growth and ensure compliance and security. They wanted a solution that would automate processes, unburden their sysadmins and HR, and provide flexibility to meet their specific needs.

During the initial phase, Hire2Retire played a pivotal role in the implementation process, assisting DMCL with integrating Bamboo HR into Hybrid AD for a company with over 250 employees, which has now risen to 500 employees. With Hire2Retire’s integration, DMCL saw a decline of 20% in the number of tickets generated for IT, automating the onboarding process for new hires. Hire2Retire supported DMCL in batch-processing employee records and establishing workflows tailored to the accounting industry’s specific requirements. DMCL remains a client of Hire2Retire, and currently, Hire2Retire is facilitating the migration to a different HR system to better meet the growing needs of the company. RoboMQ actively seeks customer feedback and strives to incorporate their suggestions into its product.
