Situation

In today’s fast-paced world, businesses often struggle to scale by manifesting their ideas into reality while maintaining speed, efficiency, and quality as per the market standards. Enter the Coghlin Companies, where a forward-thinking approach fuels excellence, delivering swift yet exceptional services while giving shape to dreams. Whether it is a startup looking for cutting-edge solutions or an established enterprise willing to outsource manufacturing and engineering services, Coghlin Companies is a name that is often the first call to make. Since 1885, Coghlin Companies has been helping firms by delivering high-quality products, optimizing supply chain management, and even assisting clients in every stage of their product lifecycle.

Struggles and Pains

Coghlin Companies offers a comprehensive suite of services such as Electronic Manufacturing, Engineering and Design, Supply Chain Management, Quality Assurance and Testing, and Product Lifecycle Management, combining precision with technology. Starting from a small machine shop in Worcester, the company now has multiple locations around Massachusetts, USA, and two wholly owned subsidiaries, namely Columbia Tech and Cogmedix, where more than 800 dedicated employees work to provide contract manufacturing solutions across the United States. However, with extraordinary growth often comes hard challenges. A proper automated HR management and resource provisioning process was missing from the company, and the company’s Sysadmins were managing employee lifecycle and provisions the hard away, making every update in different software manually. Owing to the use of multiple software like JIRA, and O365 in the firm, updating security groups and allocating accounts/licenses became a huge endeavor.

Coghlin Companies realized that onboarding, offboarding, and AD management had been a lot of work for its several HR and IT resources. As a result, it started searching for an integration that could handle the whole employee lifecycle management and resource provisioning in the company while justifying the ROI.

Resolution

To address its HR-IT challenges, Coghlin Companies turned to RoboMQ’s Hire2Retire, an end-to-end no-code integration product for managing employee lifecycle events and licensing. With Hire2Retire as an ADP to Hybrid AD integration solution, Coghlin Companies can address its integration needs by:

Simplifying employee onboarding, offboarding, and termination processes while automating updates of user identities to proper OUs (organizational units), SGs (security groups), and DLs (distribution lists).

Eliminate or reduce manual data updates in AD (Active Directory).

Saving time and cost, justifying an ROI on the integration.

Automating the process of account creation and identity provisioning on third-party applications.
