Source of transportation of energy, fresh water, and other necessities in urban cities, pipelines are unsung warriors that work round the clock underneath the ground without interruptions. Pretty much every aspect of society relies on these utilities. However, people rarely stop and notice them until their flow is interrupted. Since 1992, Rangeline Group has been providing precision tapping services ensuring these pipelines work as smoothly as they are meant to.
From hot tapping and line stopping to other mechanical services, Rangeline has been pioneering in tapping services, providing fast and precise solutions to businesses so that they can function uninterrupted.
For over 30 years, Rangeline Tapping Services has been a leader in water and wastewater industry solutions providing its services to an array of industries like hospitals and municipalities, to name a few. The company offers emergency tapping services 365 days a year, going beyond the call of duty and helping businesses and municipalities alike to get back to work.
While these unique services enable their customers to continue functioning even during repair and maintenance, behind the scenes, Rangeline struggled to manage the employee profiles of its workforce responsible for meeting the tapping needs swiftly and seamlessly.
With multiple subsidiaries across the USA and constant onboarding and offboarding needs, Sysadmins of the company felt the burden of keeping Rangeline’s Active Directory consistent and updated. They were overwhelmed by the tedious but important tasks like allocating provisions and access to its workforce by updating employee profiles manually. As if it wasn’t a challenge enough, Rangeline was also using multiple associate IDs for an employee, which led to duplicate records in its system. In the end, it created multiple discrepancies between its HR system (Paymaster) and its Global Address List (GAL). As a result, its new hires were stuck waiting for the right access, and some terminated employees were still holding onto the company’s sensitive information, raising the risk of data breaches.
Rangeline realized that an automated and well-defined employee lifecycle management and resource provisioning system is needed in the company. It knew that to address its operational challenges, it must evolve soon, and that is why it turned to RoboMQ’s Hire2Retire.
RoboMQ implemented Hire2retire as an end-to-end no-code integration solution for the Rangeline group. With Hire2Retire as a Paymaster to AD integration solution, Rangeline ensured that its new hires were not stuck waiting for the right access and that its IT team was not exhausting valuable work hours on manual and tedious updates.
Rangeline operates in a highly vulnerable environment where an absence of swift and precise services can prove highly critical for its customers as well as the environment. Here is how the implementation of Hire2Retire as a Paymaster to AD integration solution helped Rangeline to ensure there is no downtime in its services.
