In 1962, a devoted pet lover and philanthropist Ben Doskocil embarked on a mission to make pet travel safer and more comfortable. He crafted the very first plastic kennel approved for airline use, revolutionizing pet transportation forever. From this humble beginning, Doskocil Manufacturing was born. Fast forward to today, Doskocil Manufacturing has evolved into Petmate, a renowned name in the pet industry.  

With a rich history of innovation and growth, Petmate now owns 21 brands, offering a wide range of pet products. During its tenure of sixty years (so far), Doskocil acquired and merged with various big names in the industry to further its journey towards its paramount goal- ‘improving the quality of life for pets and pet parents. Committed to responsible manufacturing practices, including eco-friendly techniques, and reducing its carbon footprint, it also expanded its processes to involve the repurposing of industrial content and recycling of manufacturing scrap. 

Struggles and Pains

As Doskocil Manufacturing grew and expanded its product lines, it began facing many challenges in managing its employee lifecycle and identity provisioning processes. With multiple acquisitions and mergers over the years, Doskocil has acquired a complex workforce structure with employees spread across different locations and roles. This made it difficult for the HR and IT departments to manage employee data efficiently, including mapping office contacts, allocating software licenses, and manually updating roles between ADP and Azure AD (Active Directory). Doskocil needed a solution that could streamline these processes and ensure accurate and up-to-date employee data management while improving overall efficiency. 

Resolution

By implementing Hire2Retire as an ADP to Azure AD integration solution, Doskocil was able to streamline its employee data management processes and automate the synchronization of employee data between the two systems. By automatically synchronizing the employee data upon every lifecycle event update, such as onboarding, role change, and termination, they can now ensure that employee profiles are always up-to-date and accurate between systems.
